What if I have questions about volunteering?

What happens after I sign up online?

You will receive a confirmation email after you sign up confirming that you have signed up. Prior to the race, you will receive an email with specific details regarding your responsibilities and shifts, as well as parking information and other helpful instructions. 

 

What if I can no longer volunteer?

Please email Emily as soon as possible so that we can ensure your responsibilities will be re-assigned to another volunteer.

 

What if I cannot volunteer the whole shift?

Once you sign up, we count on you for the full shift. We cannot replace you if you leave early.

 

May I bring a friend?

Yes! We can always use extra help! Please be sure to have them register online to secure a volunteer position and T-shirt.

 

How should I dress?

We recommend all volunteers wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Please dress in layers to compensate for varying conditions (warm and sunny, cool and rainy). All race day volunteer jobs will take place outside, as this event happens despite the weather.

 

What should I bring with me?

Clothing appropriate for the weather. For all shifts, we invite you to bring your own food or snacks, however, pizza will be provided for all volunteers. There is no storage available, so you will have to carry any items you bring with you. Most areas will have a place to set down your belongings but are not guaranteed security. 

 

I would like to volunteer at a water station?

We have one water station and looking for a group of individuals (5).  We suggest volunteering at the start line or finish line for an exciting day or any of the other exciting opportunities leading to the day of the race.

 

When is the last day to sign up?

We prefer for you to register online no later than a week in advance so we can plan accordingly (September 3).
